Staff Engineer, Sustaining Engineering

The Mechanical Staff Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership in product sustainment, cost reduction, alternate source qualification, engineering change management, lifecycle management, and product quality improvement. The role works closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Sustaining Engineering, and Program Management to ensure product reliability, supply continuity, operational excellence, and business objectives are achieved.

- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics)
- Min 7 years of related experience
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, GD&T, DFM/DFA, material selection, product qualification, validation, and reliability testing.
- Proven ability to manage engineering changes (ECO/ECN), BOMs, and PLM systems, while driving root cause analysis, failure investigations, and risk assessments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong in stakeholder management and communication, cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills, Project leadership and execution.
- Results driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficient in CAD software, Teamcenter PLM, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Jira or equivalent project management tools.
