14–18 years of progressive experience in journalism, editorial or content leadership, with at least 4–5 years at Editor or equivalent senior level. Confidential · Page 2 of 3
• Prior experience as Senior Editor, Executive Editor, Vertical Head or equivalent in a media organization, with ownership of editorial standards and team output, will be strongly preferred.
• Demonstrable experience writing speeches, addresses or formal remarks for a senior leader, or comparable corporate and institutional messaging experience, will be highly valued.
• Experience leading editorial teams and setting language and quality standards across a desk.
• Experience in business, finance or policy journalism, and familiarity with government and institutional stakeholder environments, will be a distinct advantage.
• Native or near-native writing ability is non-negotiable; advanced English comprehension required to work from source material. Gujarati will be an advantage.
• Postgraduate qualification in journalism, mass communication, literature or a related discipline preferred; graduate degree required.
