About the Role
Our client, an AI data center operator in Jakarta, is looking for an L3 Technical SME specializing in AI compute. You will serve as a senior technical escalation point for the AI compute environment, leading complex root cause analysis, investigating performance issues, assessing architectural defects, and defining permanent corrective actions.
You will also drive automation, capacity and performance analysis, and infrastructure lifecycle improvements while coordinating with OEMs and technical teams to maintain platform reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Handle advanced technical escalations and lead complex root cause analysis and performance investigations.
- Identify architectural defects and define permanent corrective actions.
- Automate recurring operational tasks using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Conduct capacity and performance analysis against service-level objectives (SLOs).
- Support lifecycle engineering, platform optimization, and infrastructure improvements.
- Coordinate with OEMs and technology partners to investigate hardware and platform issues.
- Work with L1 and L2 teams to improve troubleshooting practices and technical knowledge.
- Document technical findings, corrective actions, and operational improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in AI infrastructure, Linux, Kubernetes/Slurm, storage, platform engineering, or closely related technical fields.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience with Python, Ansible, or other scripting and automation technologies.
- Experience with SLOs, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with infrastructure lifecycle engineering and OEM escalation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Good command of English (mandatory). Mandarin is preferred for senior technical engagements.
