About this role
Savannah River National Laboratory Operations & Facilities are seeking to hire Production Operators to support disciplined laboratory operations. This is a full-service employment position for SRNL in which apprentices will be hired to complete on-the-job training (OJT) and earn a Nuclear Fundamentals Certificate from Aiken Technical College (ATC), Augusta Technical College, or Denmark Tech (Barnwell Campus) under the guidance of a qualified production operator and /or instructor. The work schedule will consist of 40-hours per week of paid OJT and classroom learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid state driver’s license
- Must have completed ACT Work Keys Skills Assessment and achieved the minimum scores : Workplace Observation= 2 , Locating Information = 4, Reading for Information = 4, Applied Technology = 3. Test scores must be within the last five years.
- If necessary, must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or STEM related discipline from an accredited program.
