About the role:

In the Marketing Operations & MarTech team, the Content team builds the tools, capabilities and processes that help marketers plan, create, adapt, approve, manage, store and reuse content more effectively and efficiently.

The Head of Content Asset Management & Technology leads the strategy and transformation of the capabilities used to manage content and creative assets across their lifecycle. This includes DAM, MAM, PIM and related content technologies, as well as the processes, governance and ways of working that make them effective. The role will shape the technology landscape, bring in the right solutions, simplify processes, improve adoption and help marketers find, use, adapt and reuse content quickly and compliantly. Success requires someone who can move comfortably between marketing and technology, translating business needs into practical technology and operational solutions.

Experience / skills required:

·        Set the strategy, roadmap and priorities for content asset management and related technology, covering DAM, MAM, PIM and connected capabilities across the content lifecycle.

·        Lead the transformation of the technology and operating landscape: identify gaps, simplify complexity and bring in the right technology, partners and solutions to create a scalable and future-ready environment.

·        Define and improve the processes, governance and ways of working that support asset creation, approval, metadata, rights, storage, search, distribution, reuse, retention and retirement.

·        Translate marketer and business needs into clear technology requirements, and explain technology options and constraints in practical language for marketing teams.

·        Drive adoption and change across the wider marketing organisation through clear education, guidance and training, making it easy for teams to use the right tools and processes.

·        Lead and develop the team and manage technology, agency and vendor partners, ensuring priorities are clear, delivery moves at pace and suppliers are accountable for outcomes.

Key Competencies

STRATEGIC THINKING: Able to set a clear direction, see the bigger picture and make practical choices about where to invest, simplify or change.

TRANSFORMATION & DELIVERY: Combines critical thinking with an operational attitude; moves quickly from strategy to action, solves problems and delivers change.

MARKETING & TECHNOLOGY BRIDGE: Comfortable speaking both marketing and technology languages and connecting the two.

CHANGE & INFLUENCE: Builds alignment across diverse stakeholders and drives adoption through clear communication and practical engagement.
