The Electrical Power Generation Engineer provides technical leadership for the design input, installation, delivery, commissioning, and operational readiness of power-generation systems supporting mission-critical data center operations. The role requires extensive electrical engineering expertise with gas turbines, reciprocating generators, diesel and natural-gas generators, generator paralleling systems, switchgear, protection systems, and associated power-generation equipment.
The engineer works cross-functionally with design, engineering, construction, delivery, commissioning, and operations teams from project initiation through final handover to ensure systems are safe, reliable, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with data center availability
Minimum Job Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
15 years of experience in technical engineering
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 11 years of experience in technical engineering
OR
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 9 years of experience in technical engineering
OR
Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 7 years of experience in technical engineering.
Job Skills:
Same as prior level.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
16 years of experience in technical engineering
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 12 years of experience in technical engineering
OR
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 10 years of experience in technical engineering
OR
Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 8 years of experience in technical engineering.
People Leadership/Management Experience:
2 years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
Additional Qualifications (as needed)
Electromagnetic Compatibility:
10 years of experience in safety and electromagnetic compatibility compliance.
