About this role
About Throne
Throne is a fast growing Series C startup transforming public infrastructure by delivering clean, safe, smart restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers like LA Metro, Caltrain, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Beverly Hills and Washington DC, we're rapidly scaling and preparing for multi-city expansion in 2026-2027.
We recognize an unspoken problem: that better bathroom accommodations are sorely needed in most cities. Public and retail bathrooms are neither positioned to meet demand, nor incentivized to provide the quality experience people deserve.
Our mission is to provide peace of mind to the millions of people who set out on an adventure on any given day. That adventure may be big or small. It may involve taking your toddler to the park, driving a stranger to the airport, running a half marathon, or exploring a new city for the first time.
Role Overview
Throne is looking for a Senior Operations Specialist to join our Bay Area team, reporting to Senior Operations Manager. In addition to performing the core cleaning, restocking, and maintenance work of an Operations Specialist, you'll take ownership of a full route, site, or recurring set of work with limited oversight, handle moderately difficult tasks, and act as a resource for newer teammates. This is a shift-based role with coverage needs spanning early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The hourly rate for this position starts at $25. Actual compensation depends on a candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location. Full-time roles are eligible for the benefits package below, including stock options.
This role requires use of a company or personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed where applicable) to travel between Thrones, and use of smartphone apps.

- Act as a leader amongst peers by recognizing and communicating trends and improvement opportunities to the Operations Manager
- Maintain a solid, working command of Throne's hardware and systems, and stay current on product changes
- Document all work accurately and in real time using mobile applications
- Safely operate a company vehicle to travel between Throne locations (may include pump truck operation — market-dependent, Ops Manager to specify)
- Help direct and prioritize workload within a shift
