Job role

The Procurement Expert leads negotiations for IT & NON IT categories, including but not limited to IT (Hardware, Software), Business Services, Insurance Goods and Professional Services to secure advantageous terms and conditions. He / she develops and coordinates commercial negotiations with suppliers that are supportive and aligned with business objectives while striving to build long term and reliable partnerships.

What you will do

Analyze procurement data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Alignment with the business stakeholders regarding demand requirements and analysis of bundling potential
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations, finance, and legal, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.
Execute purchasing activities for assigned category, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of services.
Communicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise.
Support strategic Procurement in spend analysis of the national and international procurement market as well as benchmarking considering “best practice” and “total cost of ownership” approaches.
Conduct on regular basis (minimum twice a year) market research and share to business units identified market trends.
Support the implementation of procurement processes and systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

What you bring

Degree in economics/business administration with focus on third-party management, IT Professional Service procurement (IT Consulting) or equivalent

2 years+ of work experience in a relevant area, involving project management, IT, and others.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices

Be highly adaptable to a dynamic environment with self-starter attitude.

You have

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and German language skills are an add-on.

You are proficient in the common MS-Office programs as well as different procurement tools.
