Employment Type: Full-time,
based at BWS Milan headquarters, with possible international travels

Salary Range: 28.000 – 35.000 euro annual salary, depending on
experience

About Us:

Balich Wonder Studio is an integrated entertainment Group that conceives, produces, and delivers live experiences. We create visionary projects with long-lasting value, from large-scale Ceremonies to immersive shows, events, brand experiences, and destination experiences. With a multicultural team of over 140 individuals from 20 countries, we operate through three divisions and two companies in the Middle East, including our branches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (BWS-KSA) and Dubai, UAE (HQWS), serving the entire MEA Region. In 2023, Balich Wonder Studio was acquired by Banijay to build a Media and Entertainment powerhouse, combining the strengths of an established content group with our pioneering capabilities.
About the role:

The BWS Special Projects Unit
oversees BWS’s long-standing projects while leading the creative development
and executive production of new show formats, emotional masterplanning, and
attraction concepts. The Unit operates across multiple disciplines, including:

• Destination experiences and theme parks, from emotional
masterplanning to iconic landmarks

• Cultural projects and exhibits

• Live events and ceremonies

• Ticketed shows, based on original IP

• Architecture and design of public spaces

• Temporary and permanent artistic installations and
exhibitions

We nurture each project from its
earliest conceptual stage, guiding it from an abstract opportunity into a fully
realized production. Through a step-by-step process, we transform visionary
ideas into tangible, impactful experiences.

The Junior Set Designer is part
of the Design team within the Creative Department, reporting to the Head of
Design and working closely with the Creative Team. The role works mainly on
destination and cultural projects: icons and landmarks, emotional masterplans, immersive exhibitions, permanent and temporary
installations, IP-based ticketed shows,
theme parks.

This is a creative role before a
technical one. The Set Junior Designer generates ideas and helps turn them into
projects, from the first brainstorming session to the creative proposal
presented to the client, through research, sketching, 3D modeling, rendering and AI driven visualization and animation.

Key Responsibilities

Concept & Creative Development

• Take part in brainstorming sessions and creative
workshops with the Design, Creative and Production teams, bringing original
ideas and references.

• Turn brainstorming outputs into a creative design
proposal, based on strong narratives and spatial
storytelling: concepts, moodboards, sketches, 3D views and presentation
boards.

• Develop ideas aligned with BWS’s creative vision, the
client’s brief and the project’s constraints.

Destination & Spatial Design

• Contribute to emotional masterplanning for destinations
and theme parks: themed areas, attractions, iconic landmarks and visitor
routes.

• Design icons, landmarks, permanent and temporary
installations, exhibits and exhibition spaces.

• Model and render in 3D with Rhino and Blender: volumes,
spaces, landmarks, installations and sets.

• Produce basic technical drawings to support the
transition from concept to development.

Visualization & Presentation

• Sketch by hand and digitally to explore and communicate
ideas in the early phases.

• Use AI image and video generation tools for fast
explorations, variations and concept visuals.

• Prepare presentations, boards and creative materials
for bids and client meetings, with clarity and visual quality.

Research & Innovation

• Conduct visual, thematic and technical research:
references, materials, technologies, trends and benchmarks.

• Stay up to date with tools, software and trends in
design, AI and live entertainment.

Collaboration

• Work closely with multi-disciplinary designers, art directors and creative directors to keep concept and
development aligned.

• Keep project files, references and archives organized
and accessible to the team.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Set Design, Scenography, Architecture,
Exhibition or Interior Design.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a studio or agency on immersive
experiences, theme parks, exhibits, installations, events or shows.

• Strong sketching skills, by hand and digital.

• 3D modelling and
rendering skills in at least one of the following software packages: Rhino with
Enscape, Blender, Cinema 4D or 3ds Max.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD

• Basic technical drawing skills.

• Hands-on use of AI tools for images and video.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

• Fluency in English and Italian.

• A portfolio showing concept and design work.

Personal Qualities

• Curious, with a strong research mindset and a genuine
passion for live entertainment and immersive content.

• Strong visual sensibility and attention to detail.

• Able to present ideas clearly to colleagues and
clients.

• Open to feedback and willing to iterate fast on a
proposal.

• Team player, comfortable working on several projects in
parallel.

• Composed under pressure and able to meet tight
deadlines without losing quality.

• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities based on
company, project, and client needs.

• Willingness to travel for short to medium periods when
required by the project.
