## About the role
As a Data Scientist (m/f/d), you develop data-driven solutions and machine learning models that create measurable value for our business. From identifying relevant business questions and developing and validating models to enabling their productive use on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you support the entire data science process. In this role, you work closely with our business departments and translate data into actionable insights and innovative solutions.

Your day-to-day work

- You design, develop, and implement data-driven products and solutions based on modern machine learning methods
- You are responsible for the development of ML models, from exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to training, evaluation, and validation
- You support the entire lifecycle of machine learning models on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and contribute to their successful deployment into production
- You work closely with our business stakeholders, identify opportunities, and translate them into tangible data-driven solutions
- You analyze and optimize the performance of existing models and ensure their long-term relevance and effectiveness
- You evaluate new methods, technologies, and machine learning approaches and actively share your knowledge within the team

You’re a great fit for this role if …

- You have already gained experience in the development and operationalization of machine learning models or data-driven products
- You bring solid knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis, feature engineering, and ML model development
- You have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, or Cloud Storage
- You understand the complete lifecycle of machine learning models and are confident working with both statistical and technical aspects
- You think analytically, work in a structured manner, and solve complex challenges with a data-driven approach
- You communicate confidently in English and ideally also have German language skills
