Senior Accountant Financial Controls

Responsibilities (List all)

· Perform daily General Ledger and Fixed Assets activities, including bank reconciliations, ad hoc journals, costing of new parts and updates to product costs for freight.

· Execute month-end activities, including journal batches, balance-sheet reconciliations, review items, Concur accounting, foreign-exchange rates, period setup, General Ledger batches and Fixed Assets close.

· Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications and investigate and resolve identified differences.

· Review data from the General Ledger, business-unit reports and other financial systems to ensure completeness and accuracy.

· Support intercompany recharges and reconciliations and prepare tax-related calculations and journal entries.

· Prepare flux analysis and commentary, complete HFM uploads and reporting, and support quarterly, half-yearly and annual schedules.

· Support SOX, internal and external audits by gathering, collating and reviewing financial data and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

· Apply Vontier accounting and regulatory-reporting policies and perform financial-control activities in accordance with compliance, risk-management and internal-control requirements.

· Collaborate with global stakeholders, meet process quality and service standards, maintain Standard Work documentation and address issues before they result in escalation.

· Support process migration and Workday knowledge transfer, troubleshoot system or downstream-integration issues, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

· Commerce graduate, CA Inter or CWA Inter from a recognised university or institution.

· At least 4 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting.

· Strong accounting concepts and practical knowledge of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, reconciliations, journals and month-end close activities.

· Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, accounting systems, internal controls, compliance, risk management and audit requirements.

· Strong analytical, investigative, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate across functions and regions.
