About this role
2+ years of experience using some of the technologies mentioned below:
- SAC Planning: Practical experience with:
- building planning models with dimensions, hierarchies and versions, and understanding the difference between account-based and measure-based models
- designing input forms and planning stories for business users
- using data actions, advanced formulas and allocations to automate planning steps
- loading data through Import connections, flat files and scheduled jobs
- building reporting stories and dashboards that combine actuals and plan data
- SAP BPC Embedded / BW-IP: Exposure to planning on BW/4HANA, such as aggregation levels, planning functions, FOX formulas, BW queries and Analysis for Office, is a plus.
- Financial Processes: Understanding of planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and basic financial concepts (P&L, cost centers, allocations). Familiarity with consolidation concepts such as intercompany eliminations is an advantage.
- Data Platform: Basic knowledge of SAP Datasphere or SAP BW, including how data models feed SAC and how Live and Import connections differ.
- Development: Working knowledge of SQL and JavaScript (for Analytics Designer). ABAP is a plus.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to understand business requirements from finance and controlling users and contribute to translating them into technical specifications.
- Demonstrated fluency in using AI assistants (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) as part of daily delivery work, while critically checking AI output to ensure calculations and data reconcile. This includes:
- drafting and debugging advanced formulas and data action logic
- understanding unfamiliar planning models or scripts
- writing test cases and user documentation
- Team-player who can also work independently
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships
- Graduate of economics studies (Finance, Accounting or Cybernetics) or computer science (focus in databases, data modelling, analytics)
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAP Group Reporting, BPC or SAP Profitability and Performance Management
- Familiarity with SAC predictive forecasting and Joule
- Participation in at least one full-lifecycle SAP implementation
- SAP certification in SAC Planning or related EPM tools
- Configure and build SAC Planning models, input forms, data actions and reports as part of project teams
- Work with senior consultants to analyze finance and controlling requirements and turn them into working solutions
- Take part in testing, defect resolution and user support during implementation and go-live
- Prepare documentation and training materials for end users
- Grow towards owning functional components independently across planning, forecasting and reporting processes
- Drive change by staying up to date with the latest tools and technologies
