SAP Datasphere / BDC - Senior Consultant | Deloitte Technology Delivery Center

5+ years of experience with at least one relevant project using some of the technologies mentioned below:
- Data Visualization: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and/or SAC Planning. Strong experience designing SAC reporting stories, Analytics Designer applications and planning solutions, applying performance and usability best practices.
- Data Warehouse: SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BW on HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC). Proven expertise in:
- designing data architectures and data models in SAP Datasphere, including dataflows, replication flows and transformation flows
- building and maintaining complex SQL-based logic (SQLScript, table functions, stored procedures)
- implementing data access controls and row-level security

- Migration & Modernization: Experience with BW to Datasphere/BDC migration approaches (e.g. BW Bridge, data product generation, shell or remote conversion), data tiering and archiving strategies.
- SAP HANA Modelling: Calculation Views, SQL scripting and performance optimization.
- S/4HANA Embedded Analytics: ABAP CDS Views, Custom Analytical Queries, Fiori Analytical Apps.
- Integration: Deep understanding of data integration with S/4HANA, BW and non-SAP sources (ODP, CDS extraction, APIs, federation vs replication), and of designing solutions for performance and scalability.
- Demonstrated fluency in using AI assistants (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) as part of daily delivery work, and the ability to guide the team on using AI responsibly and effectively, including validating output and protecting client data. This includes:
- generating and reviewing SQL/SQLScript
- documenting data models
- analyzing SAC and Datasphere content
- drafting assessment reports and client deliverables

- Experience leading workshops with business and IT stakeholders, and translating requirements into solution designs
- Experience coaching and reviewing the work of junior consultants
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships
- Graduate of computer science (focus in databases, data modelling, analytics) or economics studies (Finance, Accounting or Cybernetics)
Nice to have:
- Cloud Data Platforms: SAP Databricks, SAP Snowflake, Azure
- Experience with AI-driven automation in SAP projects, e.g. connecting AI agents to Datasphere via APIs/CLI or building reusable AI workflows for documentation, migration or assessment tasks
- Pre-sales experience: estimations, solution proposals, demos
- SAP certifications in Datasphere, SAC or BW/4HANA

- Drive the full development cycle of complex data platforms, from requirements and design to go-live and hypercare
- Architect, model, design and build end-to-end modern data integration and analytics solutions in the SAP environment
- Act as the technical lead on workstreams, owning solution design, quality and delivery
- Lead client workshops, assessments and design decisions
- Coach and mentor junior consultants, and review their work
- Support pre-sales activities and the development of new offerings
- Drive change by staying up to date with the latest tools and technologies
