Your Impact:

As a Principal Software Developer, you will define the target web UI architecture to replace the existing WPF thick-client application, owning the strategy for decomposing the monolithic UI into independently deployable, containerized front-end modules

What the role offers:

- Define target web UI architecture (Angular and/or React) to replace WPF thick client functionality
- Own the micro-frontend decomposition strategy (e.g., Module Federation) for breaking apart the monolithic UI
- Define component library/design system standards, state management approach, and API integration patterns with backend microservices
- Set standards for containerizing and deploying the web UI (Docker/Nginx, Kubernetes on GCP/GKE) using GitLab CI/CD and Artifactory
- Produce high-quality architecture and design specifications; deliver POCs and estimates on technology choices
- Lead architecture/design reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards
- Mentor Lead and Senior Engineers on modern front-end architecture and migration patterns
- Work across teams (including the Backend/Platform team) to ensure interoperability

What you need to succeed:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 12+ years of enterprise product development/architecture experience
- Deep expertise in Angular and/or React, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture
- Experience with micro-frontend architecture and decomposing monolithic UIs
- Understanding of WPF/XAML sufficient to map legacy functionality to web equivalents
- Experience with Docker/Nginx for static hosting and basic Kubernetes concepts on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility (WCAG), and REST/GraphQL integration
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills

Desired/Preferred skills:

- Experience leading WPF-to-web migration initiatives
- Experience in C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET (.NET 8+), with hands-on experience modernizing large enterprise applications.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot
- Content management & Capture (IDP) domain experience would be a plus
