About this role
Who We Are
We don’t just develop embedded software — we engineer intelligence into products. The Embedded Competence Center at NTT DATA Romania brings together experts in embedded systems, firmware development, and hardware–software integration, delivering robust and high-performance solutions for complex, safety-critical environments. With strong expertise in C/C++, AUTOSAR, real-time operating systems, and communication protocols, we design scalable embedded architectures, integrate software seamlessly with hardware, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Across the industries we support — from Automotive and Industrial Automation to Smart Devices and IoT — we transform reliable embedded technology into a foundation for innovative, dependable products.
We are looking for an experienced Senior AUTOSAR Software Developer / Architect to support the development and integration of embedded software for ADAS automotive products.
The ideal candidate combines strong Embedded C/C++ development skills, hands-on AUTOSAR Classic and Vector toolchain experience, and a solid understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) development processes. The role covers software development, AUTOSAR configuration and integration, requirements analysis, software design, testing, and technical documentation throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and integrate AUTOSAR Classic embedded software for ADAS ECUs.
- Design and implement software components in Embedded C/C++.
- Analyze and refine system and software requirements into implementable software solutions.
- Create and maintain Software Requirements and Software Architecture / Detailed Design documentation.
- Configure and integrate AUTOSAR BSW, RTE and application software components.
- Work extensively with the Vector AUTOSAR toolchain.
- Configure and integrate relevant AUTOSAR stacks, including Communication, Diagnostics, Network Management, Memory, OS, Watchdog and ECU State Management.
- Work with ARXML files, SWCs, interfaces, runnables, RTE generation and ECU configuration.
- Support integration of ADAS application functionality with the underlying AUTOSAR platform.
- Debug complex issues across Application SW, RTE, BSW and MCAL layers.
- Develop and execute unit, module and integration tests.
- Perform static analysis, code reviews and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure bidirectional traceability from requirements through design, implementation and testing.
- Support software integration and releases according to defined project baselines and quality gates.
- Participate in technical reviews and ASPICE assessments.
- Maintain consistency and traceability between requirements → architecture/design → implementation → verification.
- Create engineering work products and technical documentation suitable for ASPICE reviews and assessments.
- Support change management, impact analysis and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with System, Software Architecture, Integration and Test teams to ensure process compliance and technical consistency.
