PrideStaff is currently seeking a qualified and dependable Manual Machinist for a TEMPORARY position in Bolingbrook, IL.
As a Manual Machinist you will be responsible for setting-up and running machines like Manual Lathes & Mills and other CNC equipment to ensure proper production. With this, you are also responsible for inspection of product to guarantee that it meets and exceeds customer specifications. Some minor editing is required.
1ST SHIFT 6:00am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs
TEMPORARY role October through December
$35.00 per hour DOE
Duties included but not limited to:
Setup and operation of manual lathes and mills (Bridgeport) Setup and operation of horizontal and vertical boring mills Efficient operation of drill presses, surface grinders, and other fabrication machinery Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and engineering drawings Understanding GD&T (geometric Dimensining & Tolerancing) Perform quality checks utilizing precision measurement
Requirements: At least 3-5 years of recent experience working as a machinist with Manual mills & lathes and CNC machines Experience with multi-axis machining is preferred Knowledge of NC codes, G codes, and/or M codes is highly desirable Must be able willing to submit to CNC machining skills assessment, caliper test, and other related assessments Must be able to work 10 hr. days and be flexible to work OT as needed
