About this role

About us:

Tebi is creating the first Connected Restaurant Management System that makes hospitality flow. In one seamless platform, Tebi embeds sales, reservations, kitchen prep, payments, and all the data that powers it, creating smooth service and intuitive insights.

Founded by Arnout Schuijff, co-founder of Adyen, and backed by €50 million in funding from Index Ventures & CapitalG, Tebi is built in service of hospitality first. Thousands of restaurants, cafés, bars, and coffee shops across the Netherlands, UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, Denmark and Finland already love running on Tebi.

About the role:

Restaurant owners trust other restaurant owners. They listen to the chef down the street, their wine supplier and their accountant long before they listen to an ad. That's why our events work. When we launched in Berlin, we hosted a four-hands dinner with two local merchants and a well-known food creator. We believe that’s what builds credibility, trust, and ultimately a warm prospect list.

We’re hiring an Events & Community Manager to turn that into a program that runs in several markets at the same time. You’ll plan and run our partner and owned events, and find new ways to grow Tebi through the hospitality community in each city, neighbourhood and market. You’ll work closely with our local sales teams so every event and partnership turns into real conversations.

This is a hands-on role. One week you'll be hosting a merchant dinner in Milan, the next you'll be setting up a distributor breakfast in Amsterdam. You'll report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with our Marketing team to extend these programs to our channel ecosystem, plus align closely with the General Managers and Account Managers in each market.

What you'll be doing:

- Run events across markets: Plan and deliver partner and owned events in 2–3 markets at a time, from intimate merchant dinners and industry breakfasts to city launches. You own the calendar, budget, venues, suppliers, guest lists and the plan for the night.
- Build the playbook as you go: Turn each event into templates, checklists and supplier lists, so we can launch a city campaign in weeks, not months. Improve them after every event.
- Build local partner networks: Find the people operators already trust: drinks distributors, wholesalers, food creators, hospitality associations, accountants and the advisers who help new venues open. Build partnerships that bring us introductions and referrals, not just logos.
- Put our merchants front and center: Work with our best merchants as hosts and anchors, so prospects hear about Tebi from the people they respect.
- Turn connections into pipeline: Agree with local Sales and Account Management who to involve, how to follow up and who owns what conversations. Track every event in HubSpot from invite to demo to signed merchant.
- Grow Tebi through the community: Find new ways to reach operators through the people and places they already trust, in each city, neighborhood and across borders. Keep guests and partners engaged after events, so one introduction leads to the next.
- Open new community channels: Test new ways to grow through our close-knit industry, such as an affiliate or referral program for partners, sharing useful insights from our merchants, and showing up in the forums and groups where operators talk shop.
- Capture the stories: Work with our creative team and relevant freelancers to turn events and partner moments into social content, case studies and sales material.

How we'll measure success:

- Events delivered each quarter across markets, on time and on budget
- Demos, pipeline and new merchants from each event and partnership
- Introductions, referrals and leads from partners, affiliates and community channels
- Cost per demo compared with our other channels

What you’ll bring:

- Have built something people show up for: an event series, a supper club, a community, a program. You can point to what it led to, not just how many people came
- Feel at home in hospitality. You've worked in or around restaurants, bars or food and drink brands, and you're comfortable leading a room full of operators
- Are high agency. You own your calendar, your relationships and your results, and you don't wait to be told what to do
- Build your own playbook when there isn't one, and you enjoy doing the work as much as planning it
- Know the difference between a real community and a guest list
- See growth opportunities beyond events, and are curious enough to test them
- Can run several markets at once without dropping details, and are happy to travel regularly
- Track what you do: comfortable with a CRM (HubSpot a plus), UTMs and simple reporting
- Speak fluent English. Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish or a Nordic language is a plus

Typically this means 3–5 years in events, community, field marketing or partnerships, but we care more about what you've built than how long you've been doing it.

This role isn't for you if:

- You'd rather plan the program than run it
- You need a fixed playbook and a clear org chart to get going
- You're not willing to roll up your sleeves on the night

What is Restaurant Software?

Restaurants and other merchants use various software systems such as Point of Sale (POS), Reservations, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), Payments, Inventory, Staffing, and the list goes on. These systems all need to speak to each other which they frequently don’t. It’s a mess, and we are fixing it.

From buying a croissant at a cafe to having dinner with friends, it’s a €4 Trillion+ global market and a critical part of everyday life in today's economy.

How we use AI at Tebi

We use AI the way our merchants use Tebi, to cut out the friction and get to what matters faster. We believe in a world where AI increases quality, efficiency and speed.

At Tebi, AI isn't a policy or a checkbox, it's just part of how we work. It helps us write, analyse, build, and improve but doesn’t make the last call. If there's a smarter way to do something, we want to find it.
