About this role

Overview

A mid-sized civil litigation practice (14 attorneys) is conducting a confidential search for an Associate Attorney to focus on Consumer Protection matters, with a strong emphasis on trial work. The role is primarily remote, except for in-person court appearances.

The ideal start date is immediately, with an internal target start date of October 23, 2026.

Responsibilities

Handle Consumer Protection litigation matters, with a focus on trial-ready practice.

Prepare for and participate in trials, including managing trial strategy and execution.

Appear in court as needed and travel for in-person appearances, including handling appearances solo.

Manage matters efficiently in a remote environment, maintaining strong self-organization and case management.

Qualifications

Active California bar license (required).

3–5 years of civil litigation experience.

Demonstrated strong trial skills and comfort handling court appearances independently.

Ability and willingness to travel for court appearances.

Strong self-organization and management skills suited to a predominantly remote practice.

Defense-side litigation experience is strongly preferred.

Experience with Consumer Protection is required.

Experience with Lemon Law and/or Trial Law is preferred.

Compensation

Base salary: $180,000–$210,000

Additional compensation: Bonus

Billable expectation: Target of 1,800 hours
