About this role

Your Team Responsibilities

The Property Intel (PI) Product Manager will sit within MSCI's Real Assets Private Assets business, driving product and commercial innovation for the Property Intel platform across the EMEA region. PI delivers property-level market intelligence, valuation benchmarks, and collateral risk data to banks, insurers, public sector bodies, and real estate advisory firms, drawing on a combination of proprietary research, transaction data, and third-party and regulatory/public data sources. The role holder will be responsible for product strategy and development for PI, working closely with clients across the region to ensure the platform continues to meet the evolving needs of financial institutions managing real estate-secured lending and investment portfolios.

Product Managers at MSCI are responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of new products and enhancements to existing products. This includes market research and client interviews to ideate and prototype new initiatives, fleshing out detailed requirements and working with other teams on solutioning and estimation, participating in governance forums to determine prioritization and timing, monitoring the build process, quarterbacking go-to-market planning, and tracking product success with clients.

Given the maturity of PI's core bank and public-sector client base, this role also carries particular emphasis on deepening and protecting incumbent relationships, and on adapting PI's commercial model as the underlying data and regulatory landscape in EMEA markets evolves. The role holder will additionally contribute to strategic business development projects and partnership evaluation for the business.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Market analysis of EMEA property markets, financial institution client needs, and the competitive and regulatory landscape — including how shifts in public/regulatory data availability affect PI's differentiation and pricing.

- Product Lifecycle Management : identify new opportunities, service improvements, and cost reductions; contribute to pricing and profitability decisions, including approval of special pricing where necessary.

- Client engagement across EMEA — presenting new ideas to banks, public sector, and advisory clients in collaboration with the sales team, and refining the product based on client feedback.

- Account retention and growth — working proactively with the region's incumbent bank and institutional relationships to defend and grow revenue, identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing client base.

- Develop new Property Intel capabilities in collaboration with research, including working with external providers and public/regulatory data sources to onboard new data and evolve existing datasets and indices.

- Build a business plan with a strategic marketing mindset — product, pricing, packaging, and competitive analysis — to defend PI's core franchise and capture attractive adjacent revenue across EMEA.

- Mapping out a plan for development of Property Intel products for different EMEA client segments (banks, insurers, public sector, advisory), working closely with Program Management, Engineering, Data Operations, and Research.

- Develop go-to-market plans for new products or features and prioritize their development.

- Product release & launch support , including coordinating changes to applications, standard data feeds, and Salesforce; testing new features; preparing pitchbooks and factsheets; drafting FAQs and supporting documentation for client-facing teams; and coordinating client communications.

- Working with EMEA sales to understand how the product is being received in the market and identify ways to improve commercial packaging, targeting, positioning, and product-market fit.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Desired Experience

- Deep, commercial understanding of European (ideally Nordic or broader EMEA) commercial real estate markets, property valuation practices, and how real estate data is used in bank collateral and mortgage risk processes.

- Experience working with financial institution clients (banks, insurers, public sector bodies) — understanding of credit risk, loan book management, and the regulatory capital considerations tied to real estate collateral.

- Working knowledge of the EMEA real estate data ecosystem, including public and regulatory data sources (e.g., national land registries/cadastral bodies), and how shifts in data availability or licensing can reshape a data product's competitive moat.

- Deep institutional commercial and strategic business experience in the investment industry, with significant experience managing regional and cross-functional teams across EMEA.

- Proven track record of P&L management in Fintech, particularly in Investment & Capital Markets Technology, Financial Data, or real estate/mortgage technology.

- Exceptional track record of managing, building, developing, and growing sales, research, and product management into high-performing teams.

- Excellent balance of strategy and process/execution.

- Proven track record of sustained revenue and profitability growth — including in structurally maturing markets — as a dynamic and successful product management business leader.

- Experience delivering projects to clients from pitch to execution.

- Experience delivering against target sales and retention goals.

- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Swedish or another Nordic/European language is a strong plus given PI's core EMEA client base.

Desired Qualifications

- Balanced mindset between commercial revenue creation and technical skills , with an ambition to create revenue and profits.

- Creative and innovative in problem solving, the formulation of solutions, and overcoming obstacles.

- Great initiative and motivation, and a drive to learn new interpersonal and analytical skills.

- Strong understanding of the investment and lending processes of our clients, strong client relationships, and strategic mindset.

- Proven record of collaboration, building highly effective business and commercial teams, achieving high revenue growth and profitability.

- Strong communication and collaboration across different groups not reporting into the same function, and the ability to motivate people within a matrixed organization.

- Strong intellectual, commercial, persuasive, regional market vision and entrepreneurial ability .

- Ability to convey expertise across the organization and to clients.

- 15+ years of experience in strategic marketing, product, pricing, packaging, and competitive analysis in the relevant space.

- Excellent presentation and communication
