role
Project Coordinator (Hut Construction)
PRG is seeking a Project Coordinator to support fiber hut construction from site readiness through turnover: running the meeting cadence, keeping project information accurate, and checking vendor invoices against what was actually built.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day activity on fiber hut construction projects from site readiness through commissioning and turnover.
- Schedule and run construction and coordination meetings; prepare agendas, record decisions and action items, and follow up with owners until items are closed.
- Maintain project schedules, trackers, and documentation, including permits, utility power applications, material deliveries, and inspections.
- Track progress across trades (site preparation, foundations, shelter placement, electrical, grounding, HVAC, backup power, and fiber entry) and flag schedule conflicts or gaps.
- Review vendor invoices against purchase orders, contract rates, approved change orders, and reported field progress, and escalate discrepancies to the client for resolution.
- Visit sites as needed to document progress with photos and field notes.
- Track punch list items and assemble closeout packages.
- Prepare clear status reports for project leadership, the client, and PRG management.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of project coordination experience in construction, telecommunications, or utility infrastructure.
- Enough construction background to follow technical discussions about site work, power, and equipment installation, and to recognize when something is out of sequence.
- Experience reconciling invoices against purchase orders, contracts, or budgets.
- Strong organization and written communication skills, including meeting minutes and action-item tracking.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to visit active construction sites, including walking uneven terrain and working outdoors in desert heat, with appropriate PPE.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed at the standard federal rate).
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience on fiber hut, telecom shelter, cell site, or comparable equipment-site projects.
- Experience on fiber-to-the-home or ISP network builds.
- Familiarity with permitting and utility power processes in the Phoenix or Las Vegas metro areas.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer competitive hourly pay ( $35 to $40 per hour based on experience) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
- 401(k) retirement plan, with company match after one (1) year
- Short-term disability coverage after one (1) year
- Paid time off and holidays
- Additional perks such as company-paid life insurance and other supplemental insurances available
