Henpen Consultants is recruiting a Supplier Quality Manager for a confidential, growing aerospace manufacturer. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, this leader will build and manage the supplier quality program, strengthen supplier performance, and reduce supplier-related quality costs.

This hands-on opportunity combines program development, supplier audits, corrective action, and collaboration with suppliers ranging from small businesses to major aerospace manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish supplier quality policies, procedures, and performance systems.

- Develop supplier scorecards, quality metrics, and accountability programs.

- Lead supplier audits, qualification activities, and risk assessments.

- Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and verify effective resolution.

- Help suppliers improve manufacturing quality and address recurring problems.

- Establish processes to recover supplier-related quality costs.

- Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to improve supplier performance.

- Analyze quality trends and reduce incoming defects and supplier parts-per-million (PPM) rates.

- Prioritize improvement efforts for high-risk and underperforming suppliers.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.

- 7+ years of supplier quality experience.

- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and supplier management practices.

- Experience with supplier audits, corrective actions, and performance improvement.

- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.

- Ability to work on-site in Olney, Texas, and travel up to 50%.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
