Role Summary

AT&T Corporate Communications is looking for a social-first storyteller who knows what makes people stop scrolling, lean in and engage. This role sits at the intersection of corporate storytelling, PR and social media, helping reimagine how AT&T tells its biggest stories across corporate-owned social channels, especially LinkedIn.

This is a different kind of social role. You’ll bring a creator’s mindset to Corporate Communications, finding compelling ways to tell stories about AT&T’s news, ideas, people and reputation. The right person thinks like a strategist, writes like an editor and creates for social. You pay attention to what people are talking about, notice when a company is telling its story in an interesting way and know how to find the human or unexpected angle that makes people care.

You’ll report to AT&T’s Editor-in-Chief and work closely with AT&T’s broader Social Media team, Executive Communications, Media Productions and communicators across the company to build a more distinctive voice for AT&T’s corporate channels and help the best stories travel further.

What You’ll Do

Reimagine corporate storytelling for social

- Help define and execute AT&T Corporate Communications’ LinkedIn and social content strategy to grow audience, engagement and relevance.
- Turn corporate news, reputation priorities, executive voices and company stories into content built for how people actually consume information on social.
- Develop original, social-native ideas rather than simply translating corporate announcements into posts.
- Build repeatable content franchises, formats and editorial ideas that give audiences reasons to follow AT&T.

Create for the Feeds

- Write sharp, compelling copy, from a single great line to longer-form LinkedIn storytelling.
- Develop original concepts for short-form video, graphics, carousels, newsletters, executive content and emerging formats.
- Partner with designers, producers, videographers and other teams to bring ideas to life.
- Move seamlessly between planned storytelling and real-time opportunities sparked by news, social conversation and culture.

Stay plugged into culture

- Keep a pulse on conversations across business, tech, media, sports and entertainment to keep the storytelling current, human and relevant.
- Identify moments where AT&T has a credible and interesting reason to participate, with the judgment to know when it doesn’t.
- Bring outside inspiration into the newsroom from brands, creators, publishers and emerging platforms.
- Connect Communications + Social
- Serve as a key bridge between Corporate Communications and AT&T’s broader Social Media team.
- Bring Corporate Communications into the creative process earlier and help turn priority news into platform-native opportunities.
- Use audience insights and performance to test new approaches, sharpen storytelling and establish best practices.

What You’ll Bring

- Experience at the intersection of corporate communications, PR and social media, with an understanding of how owned content can strengthen a broader communications strategy.
- Demonstrated success creating and growing organic social content for a company, corporate brand, publisher or major organization.
- Deep fluency in LinkedIn and a track record of growing audience or engagement on the platform.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complicated subjects simple, interesting and human.
- Strong creative instincts and a portfolio that shows you’ve built ideas, formats or channels that earned attention and grew an audience.
- A pulse on culture and sound judgment about when and how a brand should participate.
- Comfort moving quickly and collaboratively within a highly matrixed organization, working across peers, executives, creative and production teams while experimenting and learning from performance.

What Success Looks Like

- More people see, engage with and share the stories Corporate Communications puts into the world.
- AT&T’s corporate social presence becomes more distinctive, relevant and engaging, growing audiences across priority channels.
- AT&T develops recognizable social franchises and formats that give audiences new reasons to follow its corporate storytelling.
- Performance insights continually sharpen what we create and how we tell our stories.
