About this role

The Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Product organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Product Management to join our Digital Wallets team and help shape the future of digital payments at American Express.

Within GMNS Product, the Network Product team develops and manages payment products and services for American Express Global Network issuers, acquirers and merchants. Our remit spans existing Network capabilities, development of new products and services, and the end-to-end partner lifecycle. Our solutions support both proprietary and third-party partners globally, enabling secure and seamless transactions across the American Express Network.

We are looking for a product leader to own the Apple Pay product strategy and roadmap across the American Express Network. This role will lead new capabilities end to end, from prioritization and discovery through delivery and go-to-market, while serving as a key Product interface with Apple, Digital Labs and internal Network teams. This is a highly visible role at the intersection of payments, technology, customer experience, and one of the world’s leading technology platforms.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a product leader who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and getting into the details required to deliver. You bring strong product judgment, curiosity, and customer empathy, and you thrive in environments where success depends on collaboration, influence, and navigating complexity.

Minimum Qualifications:

- 3+ years of digital product management experience, with a track record of building and launching high-impact digital products or experiences
- Demonstrated end-to-end product ownership, leadership, and judgment, with the ability to operate in ambiguity, independently structure complex problems, develop a point of view, prioritize competing needs, make decisions with imperfect information, and drive work from strategy through execution
- Strong technical fluency and experience partnering closely with engineering teams, with the ability to understand technical considerations and translate between business, customer, partner, and technology needs
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics, develop clear recommendations, and build alignment across working teams, senior leaders, and external partners
- Experience building strong relationships across organizational boundaries, including the ability to collaborate effectively with external partners and navigate competing priorities
- Analytical rigor, with experience using quantitative and qualitative insights to diagnose problems, evaluate opportunities, measure performance, and inform product decisions
- A highly customer-centric mindset, with strong instincts for what makes an exceptional digital experience and a willingness to challenge existing approaches when there is a better way
- Intellectual curiosity and systems thinking, with the ability to connect customer, technology, market, and business signals and translate them into actionable insights and product opportunities
- Adaptability and a test-and-learn mindset, with a willingness to experiment, seek feedback, learn quickly, and adjust course as new information emerges
- Experience in digital payments, wallets, fintech, consumer technology, platform products, or related digital ecosystems preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
