📍 Location: University of Michigan–Dearborn
💰 Pay: $20–$24 per hour (based on experience)
📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday
⏰ Hours: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (hours may vary)
Picasso Restaurant Group is looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Grill Cook to join our team at McKinley Café, located on the University of Michigan–Dearborn campus!
We are seeking someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment, takes pride in preparing quality food, and can deliver excellent service while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items, including eggs, burgers, sandwiches, and other grill specialties.
- Ensure food is prepared consistently and meets our quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked grill station.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines.
- Assist with daily food preparation, stocking, and kitchen setup.
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch rushes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous grill cook or short-order cooking experience required.
- Experience in a high-volume café, restaurant, or corporate dining environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and proper cooking techniques.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
