About this role
This opportunity will focus on the use of super intelligence (SI) and machine learning (ML) for two separate usecases:
1) We would like to explore more options for the use of ML models for predictive maintenance. Specifically, we want to apply ML to new data acquisition systems which will be installed on Center equipment for the prediction of anomalous states. Many of the new systems installed will be accelerometers. An ideal candidate would have a background in the application of machine learning for multiple modalities including accelerometers. Spectral-based feature engineering experience is also strongly desired. (NOTE: this aspect of the internship may be highly dependent on our ability to finish procurement and installation of this new data acquisition system. If that is not in place by the next summer, the internship will have more of a focus on the second usecase listed below.)
2) We also will have a need for the redevelopment and modernization of legacy applications using generative SI. Experience with tools such as Google Antigravity, Claude Code, and Codex would be desired for this work. Also, some experience with Esri ArcGIS tools, particularly ExperienceBuilder, would be beneficial.
