Payment Processor – Medical Billing

Our busy cardiology practice is seeking an experienced, full-time Payment Processor to join our team at our Providence location on Airport Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama . This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with medical office experience who enjoys working in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and post a high volume of payments.
- Review and interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) and Explanations of Payment (EOPs) from various insurance payers.
- Reconcile payments and identify discrepancies to ensure accurate posting.
- Apply basic accounting principles to daily payment processing.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve payment-related questions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of payment processing experience in a physician’s office or accounting office.
- Medical office experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting EOBs/EOPs and reconciling payments.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage high-volume posting with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
