Banking Transformation (Senior) Consultant | Business & Technology | Bulgaria

We are looking for a (Senior) Consultant with hands-on banking experience to join our Business & Technology Transformation team at Deloitte. The ideal candidate combines a solid understanding of banking operations with practical experience in transformation or change initiatives.
You may currently be working in transformation, strategy, change, process improvement, project management, business analysis, operational excellence, or a similar function within a bank or consulting environment.
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience , ideally within a bank or in consulting focused on the banking sector;
- Practical understanding of banking operations, processes, and operating models;
- Hands-on experience participating in banking transformation projects or change initiatives, such as process improvement, operational or digital transformation, technology implementation, customer journey redesign, or operating model change;
- Ability to analyze business challenges and translate them into structured, practical recommendations and implementation actions ;
- Understanding of how business, operations, data, and technology interact within a banking environment ;
- Experience working with stakeholders across business and technology functions;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with confidence working with data, developing presentations, and communicating findings and recommendations clearly;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Banking, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field;
- Fluency in English;
- EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Bulgaria is required.
Nice to have:
- Fluency in German;
- Previous management consulting experience.

As a Banking Transformation (Senior) Consultant , you will work alongside Deloitte professionals and client teams on complex business and technology transformation engagements. You will gain exposure to different organizations and transformation challenges, broaden your perspective across business, operations, and technology, and gradually take on greater responsibility for project workstreams and client interactions.
Depending on the project, you will:

- Analyze banking operations and processes to identify inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, and transformation priorities;
- Support the design and implementation of operating models, processes, and new ways of working ;
- Contribute to digital and technology-enabled transformation initiatives , connecting business requirements with technology solutions;
- Translate business challenges into structured recommendations, transformation roadmaps, and actionable initiatives ;
- Support and, depending on your experience, manage project workstreams , including planning, coordination, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment;
- Conduct interviews, facilitate workshops, and collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and management ;
- Develop business cases, process assessments, management presentations, and decision-making materials ;
- Collaborate with international and multidisciplinary Deloitte teams, while contributing to client proposals and the development of our Banking Transformation capabilities .
