Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant – Hybrid | Charlotte, NC

BHS Corrugated North America is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team in Charlotte, NC!

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and contributing to a collaborative team in a global manufacturing environment.

Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Travel: Up to 20%
Experience: 1–3 years preferred

What You'll Do

- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close.
- Manage prepaid expenses, amortization schedules, and monthly accruals.
- Maintain fixed-asset records, depreciation schedules, and construction in process (CIP) accounting.
- Post payroll journal entries from ADP and reconcile payroll accounts.
- Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and identifying discrepancies.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and intercompany accounting as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audits and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Partner with the Tax Manager on tax-related reporting and compliance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience , including general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Experience with SAP and ADP is a plus.
- Manufacturing or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate across departments.
