About this role

We are seeking a hands-on Silicon Production Test Engineer to lead test hardware readiness, bring-up activities, production debugging, yield improvement, test industrialization, and cost reduction for advanced SI silicon during production ramp and high-volume manufacturing (HVM). You will work closely with internal Test Development, Silicon Process, and Advanced Packaging engineering teams alongside foundries, OSATs, test houses, and test hardware partners.

The role spans automated test equipment (ATE) for wafer probe/circuit probe (CP) and packaged-device final test (FT), as well as system-level test (SLT). You will investigate complex production failures, qualify test partners, hardware, and configurations, and improve test reliability, throughput, and overall cost.

·        Lead ATE and SLT hardware readiness, industrialization, and optimization to support high-volume manufacturing

·        Drive bring-up, qualification, and debugging of probe cards, load boards, sockets, SLT boards, fixtures, and thermal hardware. Establish measurement repeatability and correlation across equipment and sites

·        Analyze yield, wafer maps, failure bins, parametric data, and SLT logs to identify performance trends, yield-loss patterns, and improvement opportunities

·        Drive fault isolation and physical failure analysis with foundry and OSAT partners, coordinating containment, root-cause identification, and validation of corrective actions

·        Evaluate and qualify new test hardware vendors, equipment, tools, software, and automation solutions. Define technical requirements, assess partner capabilities, and validate improvements through controlled trials

·        Reduce cost per good device through technical analysis of test time, multisite efficiency, retest, utilization, capacity, and hardware life while maintaining approved test coverage and outgoing quality

·        Maintain approved test configurations and device traceability across CP, FT, and SLT. Coordinate production deployment and technical changes with Test Development team and manufacturing partners through established approval processes

·        Drive test hardware reliability and availability improvements through technical reviews and issue resolution with foundry, OSAT, and turnkey partners

·        Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 6+ years of experience in semiconductor test, product engineering, or test industrialization, or equivalent experience

·        Hands-on experience with production ATE and SLT, including hardware bring-up, debugging, and production support, with working knowledge of structural, parametric, and functional testing

·        Ability to interpret schematics and test flows, with strong troubleshooting skills in contact interfaces, power delivery, signal integrity, and thermal behavior

·        Experience analyzing ATE and SLT data using statistical methods and modern analytics tools such as Python, SQL, JMP, or equivalents. Experience applying AI-assisted analysis and automation to accelerate yield investigations and test optimization is preferred

·        Experience with hardware qualification, measurement correlation, and production ramp support, with familiarity with fault isolation/physical failure analysis and demonstrated improvements in yield, throughput, reliability, or cost

·        Strong cross-functional communication and technical coordination skills, with willingness to travel internationally. Experience with AI processors, complex SoCs, or advanced semiconductor packages is preferred
