About this role

We are expanding our RF team and are looking for talented engineers who are passionate about radio technology. The responsibilities listed below reflect the broad scope of our RF design activities. Individual roles will cover a subset of these areas, depending on your experience, expertise, and interests. We do not expect candidates to meet every requirement, so we encourage you to tell us which areas best match your background and where you believe you can make the strongest contribution.

About the job

Join us in designing the radios that power the next generation of ultra-low-power wireless products. In this role you will take RF circuits and subsystems from architecture and specification through transistor-level CMOS design, verification, and chip integration, with a focus on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transceivers where every microwatt and every dB counts.

You will design the building blocks that set the performance of our radios, such as low-noise amplifiers, mixers, power amplifiers, frequency synthesizers, and receiver and transmitter baseband circuits. The goal is always the same: best-in-class RF performance at the lowest possible power consumption. You will work closely with system, analog, digital, verification, and layout engineers to solve demanding technical challenges and bring robust products to market.

Key responsibilities

Each position will include a selection of the following:

- Design and develop high-performance RF and analog circuits for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transceivers at transistor level, balancing sensitivity, linearity, phase noise, power consumption, area, and robustness.

- Translate radio system requirements and standards into RF architectures, circuit specifications, and verified block- and subsystem-level implementations.

- Drive low-power design choices across the radio, from architecture and bias strategy to supply regulation and duty-cycling, to meet demanding battery-life targets.

- Own RF blocks through schematic development, RF and noise simulation, design reviews, layout collaboration, EM modelling of passives and interconnect, and post-layout verification.

- Perform link-budget and system analysis, and define simulation and verification strategies covering process, voltage, temperature, mismatch, and noise corners.

- Integrate RF IP into the full radio and chip, ensuring correct interfaces and system-level performance across analog, digital, and package domains.

- Collaborate with layout and physical-design engineers on floorplanning, parasitic-aware design, matching, isolation, and coupling and substrate noise management.

- Support silicon bring-up, lab characterization, and debug, and feed measurement results back into models and future designs.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of RF design methodologies, flows, and engineering best practices.

- Document design decisions, assumptions, verification results, and technical risks, and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.

Qualification and skills

You seek to understand technical challenges in depth, identify root causes, and drive solutions through to completion. You are comfortable working independently and collaboratively, and you bring technical curiosity, sound engineering judgement, and a genuine passion for RF design. The qualifications below apply across the positions; depending on the role, some are essential and others are an advantage.

- Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, microelectronics, physics, or another relevant science or engineering discipline.

- Relevant industrial experience in RF integrated-circuit design in CMOS. From three years all the way to senior with extensive experience

- Deep understanding of CMOS transistors and RF circuits, with strong fundamentals in noise, linearity, impedance matching, stability, feedback, and process-voltage-temperature variation.

- Hands-on experience designing and verifying RF building blocks such as LNAs, mixers, PAs, VCOs, PLLs and frequency synthesizers, or filters and ADCs/DACs for radio applications.

- Experience with RF simulation techniques and with pre- and post-layout verification.

- Knowledge with lab characterization and debug of RF silicon.

- Experience with Wi-Fi (802.11) and/or Bluetooth Low Energy radio design, including knowledge of the relevant standards and the RF requirements they impose.

- Strong independent problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and the ability to drive solutions to completion.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.

- Fluent English, written and spoken.
