Job Requirements

Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer for the MRI pre-development team, with strong hands-on development experience and the ability to explore, prototype, and evaluate new methods in MR image reconstruction, image analysis, and AI. The ideal candidate should be comfortable translating early research ideas into robust software prototypes using Python and C++, while collaborating closely with clinical, research, and product stakeholders. Knowledge of MRI, medical imaging, and clinical workflows will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, prototype, enhance, and maintain MR image reconstruction, image analysis, and post-processing applications with a focus on early-stage feasibility, technical validation, and future product readiness.
- Explore and evaluate advanced MR image reconstruction and analysis methods to improve acquisition speed, extract richer information from sampled data, and enhance robustness against noise, artifacts, and system imperfections.
- Developing AI inferencing code, data preparation and model training
- Manage code repositories and version control (Git/Azure Repos)
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and agile development processes.
- Ensuring timely delivery and aligning with organizational and project quality processes
- Collaborate with Product Owners, clinical experts, research partners, and relevant stakeholders to refine the technical scope, prioritize research topics, and groom the backlog for pre-development activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:

BE/B. Tech/MCA/ME/M. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/Electronics and Communication/Biomedical from a recognized institution.

Technical Skills:

- Handson experience in AI, Python and C++
- A solid grasp of design ideas and patterns as well as object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
- Good knowledge of MR physics, image reconstruction, signal processing, mathematics, linear algebra, probability, and random processes would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of medical imaging modalities, particularly MRI, is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with clear and concise communication skills, are desirable for explaining technical concepts, research findings, and implementation of trade-offs.
- A desire to grow, learn, explore, think creatively, and push themselves beyond their comfort zones
- Handson experiences in repositories like Azure Repos, and Git for version control.

Experience:

6-8 years of experience in software development using C++ and/or Python, preferably in medical imaging, image reconstruction, AI, algorithm development, or research-oriented product development.

What We Offer:

A collaborative work environment with opportunities to contribute to early-stage MRI innovation, build deep technical expertise, and work on challenging research-to-prototype initiatives.
