About this role

APPLYING AS AN INDIVIDUAL? PLEASE READ:

This opportunity welcomes both individuals and groups. However, please note that the application form includes some fields designed for educator groups. If you are applying as an individual and find that the "Submit" button remains grayed out, this is likely because one or more required fields have not been completed. To ensure you can successfully submit, please follow these steps before finalizing your application:

- Educator Questions: If you see a question such as "How do you plan to deliver the content and knowledge gained from this activity?", please answer it to the best of your ability as an individual (e.g., "I will apply the knowledge to my personal studies" or "I plan to share what I learn with my peers").
- Participating Institution: Do not leave this section blank. Click "Add Institution" and enter your Academic Institution.
- Participant Information: For the fields asking for the number of "Educator Participants" and "Student Participants," enter "0" in each field rather than leaving them empty.
- Save Each Section: Make sure you click "Save and Continue" at the end of every section before proceeding.

Once all required fields are completed, your "Submit" button will become active. If you continue to experience difficulty after following these steps, please submit a Case with our NASA STEM Gateway Customer Support team from the Help? page at: https://stemgateway.nasa.gov/public/s/contactsupport

NASA's Career and Technical Education Day at Ames Research Center (ARC)
From Classroom to NASA Ames: Exploring Applied Technical Careers in Additive Manufacturing, Simulation, and Skilled Trades

Event Date: Wednesday, February 10, 2027
Event Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. PT
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, December 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET
Intended Audience: Community College students enrolled in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs

Career Technical Education (CTE) Day at NASA Ames Research Center offers students a unique opportunity to explore real-world technical careers at NASA. Students will participate in interactive tours and demonstrations, including wind tunnels and simulation facilities, while learning about career pathways that emphasize applied skills, certifications, and on-the-job training. The day highlights roles that do not always require a four-year degree, while also showcasing pathways to continued education and advancement. This experience connects classroom learning to impactful careers, equipping CTE students for in-demand roles across manufacturing, engineering technology, UAS, and other critical technical sectors. During this event, a panel of experts from ARC will discuss how they use the unique capabilities found at Ames to achieve mission goals and respond to student questions.
