About this role

The Car Wash Supervisor runs the automated car wash, at All Clean Carwash serving two customer groups: retail drivers who come in off the street, and partner dealerships that send vehicles for sales prep, service returns, and lot inventory. The Supervisor keeps both flowing without either one waiting on the other, leads the wash crew, and makes sure every car leaves clean, dry, and undamaged.

Shift operations

- Open and close the wash, including equipment start-up and shutdown, chemical checks, cash handling, and site walk-throughs.

- Manage vehicle flow and queue order so retail wait times and dealership turnaround targets are both met.

- Inspect finished vehicles for quality before release and correct misses on the spot.

- Complete daily shift reports covering car counts, sales, labor hours, and incidents.

Retail customers

- Greet customers, explain wash packages, and promote memberships and add-on services.

- Resolve complaints and damage claims calmly, following company policy, and escalate when needed.

- Keep the lobby, pay stations, vacuum area, and grounds clean and presentable.

Dealership operations

- Coordinate daily with dealership service, sales, and lot staff on vehicle volume, priority units, and pickup times.

- Track dealership vehicles by stock number or RO from check-in through wash and return, so none are lost, delayed, or mixed up.

- Hold dealership vehicles to the standard expected for customer deliveries and showroom display.

- Make sure dealership work is logged accurately for billing.

- Handle keys and dealer-owned vehicles with care, following key-control and driving procedures.

Team leadership

- Assign stations and breaks, and adjust staffing as volume changes through the day.

- Train new and existing team members on wash procedures, customer service, safety, and vehicle handling.

- Coach performance, address attendance and conduct issues, and give input on hiring and reviews.

- Approve timecards and keep labor within budget.

Equipment and supplies

- Monitor tunnel or in-bay equipment, conveyors, dryers, vacuums, and water reclaim systems; report and log malfunctions.

- Perform or schedule routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs.

- Track chemical and supply inventory and place reorders before stock runs short.

Safety and compliance

- Enforce safe work practices, PPE use, and chemical handling (SDS) procedures.

- Investigate and document accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage the same day.

- Follow environmental rules for water discharge and chemical storage.
