Role Overview
Alloyed is looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Oxford.
This is a practical, shop-floor focused quality role. You will spend much of your time working directly with production teams, technicians and engineers to make sure parts are being manufactured to the required standard and to quickly identify and resolve quality issues when they arise.
You will support quality throughout the manufacturing process, from reviewing inspection results and investigating non-conformances through to implementing corrective actions and improving processes.
Alongside the day-to-day production focus, you will also help ensure our manufacturing processes continue to meet the requirements of ISO 9001.
This would suit someone who enjoys being close to manufacturing and solving real production problems, rather than working primarily on Quality Management System administration.

- Investigate non-conforming parts and manufacturing problems, helping identify root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
- Review inspection and measurement data to identify issues and trends.
- Work with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and prevent repeat problems.
- Support the control and disposition of non-conforming material.
- Help make sure manufacturing activities are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and controlled processes.
- Apply structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis methodologies, such as 5 Whys, fishbone analysis, 8D and A3, to investigate manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Use quality and process data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support the introduction of new or revised manufacturing processes from a quality perspective.
- Help improve work instructions, inspection methods and quality procedures based on what is happening in production.
- Support internal audits and the ongoing requirements of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
