Role Summary

As a Director-level Program Manager, you will serve as the central coordinator and facilitator for Mastercard Supplier Intelligence, a strategic global capability that helps businesses identify supplier payment opportunities, improve payment decisioning, and move from insights toward supplier enablement and payment execution.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain comprehensive program visibility through integrated plans, milestones, roadmaps, status reporting, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, actions, outcomes, and executive updates.

Orchestrate the program across product strategy, customer experience, platform development, data and analytics, supplier matching and decisioning, connectivity, enablement, actioning, commercialization, client delivery, pilots, operations, support, and regional readiness.

Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, Marketing, Commercialization, Customer Success, Implementation, Operations, Support, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Privacy, Information Security, regional teams, clients, vendors, and other internal and external partners.

Facilitate Steering Committee, Operating Committee, program-wide, planning, prioritization, governance, launch-readiness, status, and executive review forums; prepare materials, document decisions, and ensure actions have clear owners and closure paths.

Maintain a neutral, fact-based presence during competing-priority and ownership discussions, helping teams move beyond “us versus them” dynamics toward shared outcomes, explicit trade-offs, and clear decisions.

Keep large, cross-functional groups focused on agreed objectives, decisions, actions, timelines, and dependencies, while creating the structure needed for accountable follow-through.

Synthesize complex product, technical, operational, commercial, client, and control-related inputs into clear program-level themes, issues, risks, successes, dependencies, trade-offs, and executive-level reporting.

Lead retrospectives and lessons-learned discussions; capture successes, breakdowns, root causes, and improvement actions, and ensure agreed changes are incorporated into future plans and ways of working.

Create and maintain a unified view of delivered capabilities, in-progress commitments, planned roadmap items, unresolved requirements, and readiness so leadership and delivery teams can distinguish current state from future-state intent.

Coordinate the evolution of Supplier Intelligence from a standalone insights experience toward modular capabilities that can also operate within Mastercard, client, and vendor experiences.

Manage cross-team dependencies and decision points related to experience ownership, data flows, integration approaches, shared workflows, supplier enablement, payment execution, reconciliation, and ongoing operating responsibilities.

Coordinate client, partner, and vendor engagements, including capability assessments, integration planning, delivery commitments, roadmap dependencies, operating-model decisions, and follow-through.

Apply fit-for-purpose delivery approaches across predictive, iterative, and hybrid environments, moving effectively between Agile and waterfall methods based on the needs, constraints, and maturity of each workstream.

Use modern program and project management tools to maintain integrated plans, dependency views, RAID logs, decisions, actions, status, and portfolio-level reporting.

Track and report program KPIs, milestones, outcomes, budget considerations, and roadmap impacts, giving leadership concise and fact-based visibility into progress, successes, challenges, trade-offs, and required decisions.

Connect global and regional plans, supporting a modular approach that can serve different client and market needs while reducing duplicated investment and fragmented customer experiences.

Coordinate pilots and market launches across client selection, legal and data readiness, operational support, feedback collection, localization, commercialization, and transition to scalable delivery.

Champion disciplined program management, clear documentation, accountability, constructive collaboration, and continuous improvement as strategy, architecture, vendor models, and market priorities evolve.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Experience in program management, PMO, product operations, or related leadership roles driving complex, multi-stakeholder programs.

PMO and program leadership expertise as the primary qualification, including governance, integrated planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, executive reporting, facilitation, and follow-through.

Proven ability to lead large-scale, multi-region initiatives spanning product, technology, data, sales, marketing, commercialization, implementation, operations, support, control functions, clients, and external vendors.

Drive day-to-day governance and execution tracking across workstreams, ensuring owners remain accountable; risks and blockers are escalated early, and mitigation actions translate into sustainable long-term solutions.

Strong facilitation skills, including experience leading Steering Committees, Operating Committees, retrospectives, program-wide discussions, decision forums, and executive reviews.

Demonstrated ability to remain neutral and fact-based in complex cross-functional discussions, reduce “us versus them” dynamics, and help groups reach clear decisions and shared accountability.

Ability to synthesize complex inputs into concise program-level issues, risks, successes, dependencies, options, decisions, lessons learned, and executive communications without needing to be the subject-matter expert in every domain.

Experience operating across Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, with the judgment to select and adapt methods to the needs of individual workstreams and the broader program.

Strong understanding of cross-team and cross-system dependencies, critical paths, sequencing, delivery readiness, operating readiness, and the downstream effects of scope or priority changes.

Experience with modern program and project management tools used for integrated planning, dependency mapping, risk and issue tracking, decision and action management, collaboration, and executive reporting.

Experience coordinating SaaS, platform, data, analytics, API, embedded-product, or ecosystem-partnership programs is preferred.

Basic understanding of B2B commercial payments, accounts payable, enterprise systems, supplier management, virtual cards, payment automation, or related fintech capabilities is preferred. The role is expected to leverage Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Privacy, Information Security, Operations, and other subject-matter experts for domain-specific depth.

Proven ability to influence without authority and build alignment across global, cross-functional, client, and vendor teams.

Strong organizational discipline and attention to detail, balanced with the judgment to focus teams and leaders on the most important outcomes, dependencies, risks, and decisions.

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or PgMP preferred.
