Welder/Fitter – Manufacturing

Pay: $17.00 per hour and up, depending on experience

Shifts Available:

- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Job Summary

We are hiring a Welder/Fitter to assist with the fabrication of steel frames and building components. This position is responsible for welding metal components, following welding procedures, and ensuring work is completed safely and accurately.

Candidates with MIG welding experience are preferred. Experience with plasma torches and oxy-acetylene cutting is a plus. Welding certifications are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

- Perform welding and fabrication of steel frames and building components.
- Use welding equipment, grinders, scrapers, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Follow established welding procedures and company safety policies.
- Read measurements and use a tape measure to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Complete assigned tasks while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Qualifications

- Previous welding or fabrication experience preferred.
- Familiarity with MIG welding processes is a plus.
- Experience using plasma torches or oxy-acetylene cutting equipment is beneficial.
- Welding certifications are preferred but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math, including working with fractions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
