Location:

Mesquite, TX (KHQZ)

Come grow with us! Forsite is hiring a Shop Foreman to run the hangar floor for our Maintenance Team at our Mesquite, TX (KHQZ) maintenance facility. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll supervise and develop our technicians, keep aircraft moving through the shop safely and on schedule, and own the records that show every aircraft is airworthy. Expect to spend roughly two-thirds of your time on the floor and one-third in the office; that balance may shift with operational needs as the role develops. You’ll report to the Director of Aviation and work day to day with the Director of Maintenance on shop operations, scheduling, and airworthiness.

Who We Are

Forsite brings aerial patrol, LiDAR and imagery capture, analytics, wildfire science, strategic planning, and professional forestry together under one roof. We serve energy infrastructure, utility, and land management clients across North America and abroad, and we’re still growing.

We take pride in a team culture where backing each other up is second nature. We’re a people-focused business that grows by delivering value to our clients, creating opportunities for our employees, and building solutions that balance economic, environmental, and social goals.

We work hard to keep a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace where everyone can reach their full potential. If you want a team that values collaboration and new ideas, and still has fun while doing work that matters, you’ll fit right in.

- Coach senior technicians, and train and mentor newer technicians as they build their skills

- Hold the team to standard: inspect work, give direct feedback, and call for rework when it’s needed

- Build the KHQZ work schedule with the Director of Maintenance to cover routine, overtime, and emergency maintenance

- Make sure the shop has the tools, equipment, and trained, qualified people it needs

- Step in for the Director of Maintenance when they’re away

Maintenance coordination and airworthiness:

- Keep company aircraft airworthy, working with other Forsite bases when airworthiness questions come up

- Maintain compliance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and the Federal Aviation Regulations that apply to the aircraft in your care

- With the Director of Maintenance, keep the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot current on each aircraft’s airworthiness status and expected downtime, so maintenance is scheduled and discrepancies are deferred or corrected on time

- Approve aircraft for return to service in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations

- Find ways to make Forsite’s maintenance program more efficient and cost-effective

Compliance, records and safety:

- Confirm each technician’s certification, qualifications, and competency before they work on an aircraft, and make sure they are supervised as the Federal Aviation Regulations require

- Make sure overhaul manuals, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, company manuals, and other required technical data are available to the team and used on every job

- Keep accurate work records and logbook entries, including the return-to-service entry in each aircraft’s permanent maintenance records

- Run the KHQZ tool control program so every tool is accounted for

- Review company manuals, recommend updates, and send update acknowledgments as required

- Take an active part in our Safety Management System (SMS), including occurrence and hazard reporting

- Take on other duties as assigned; this role is still taking shape, and its scope will grow over time
