About this role

Company Overview

At Motorola Solutions, we believe that everything starts with our people. We’re a global close-knit community, united by the relentless pursuit to help keep people safer everywhere. We build and connect technologies to help protect people, property and places. Our solutions foster the collaboration that’s critical for safer communities, safer schools, safer hospitals, safer businesses, and ultimately, safer nations. Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future.

## Department Overview
The IT Product Enablement team serves as the engineering force multiplier for our global R&D organization, empowering over 8,000 multidisciplinary software and hardware engineers to innovate rapidly and ship with confidence. We eliminate friction from the developer experience by modernizing toolchains, streamlining agile workflows, and engineering scalable platform solutions across a complex global ecosystem.

A core pillar of our mission is leading technical integration and pipeline optimization for strategic Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Rather than acting as traditional support or passive ticket-takers, we operate as trusted technical advisors and thought partners. We challenge assumptions, elevate our partners' ideas, and engineer creative solutions that directly accelerate business outcomes. If you are intellectually curious, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to turn complex engineering transitions into competitive advantages, this is where your work will have enterprise-wide impact.
## Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) technical integration strategy. In this role, you will focus on unifying engineering processes, optimizing CI/CD toolchains, and strengthening source code security across newly acquired and existing business units.

You will work across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and leading source code management (SCM) platforms to consolidate workflows, streamline pipelines, and ensure a secure, cohesive developer experience.

##

Key Responsibilities:

- M&A Toolchain Integration & Migration: Lead the migration, consolidation, and integration of SCM and CI/CD pipelines across diverse platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Multi-Cloud DevOps Engineering: Maintain and unify build, test, and deployment infrastructure spanning modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with M&A integration leads, engineering teams, and enterprise architects to assess legacy toolchains, recommend target architectures, and drive alignment on standardized engineering practices.
- Process Automation: Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and custom REST integrations to orchestrate toolchains and minimize manual operational overhead.
- Source Code & Pipeline Security: Champion DevSecOps best practices across all engineering systems; participate in global IT and cybersecurity initiatives to enforce source code scanning, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Documentation & Enablement: Create comprehensive technical documentation, migration runbooks, and self-service guidelines to facilitate smooth onboarding for acquired engineering teams.

##

Qualifications:

- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or build/release automation.
- CI/CD Expertise: Strong practical background with enterprise CI/CD systems, including Jenkins and GitHub/GitHub Actions (exposure to GitLab CI and Bitbucket Pipelines is a strong plus).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Practical experience building and supporting deployments across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Scripting & Development: Foundational scripting and programming capability (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell) and experience consuming/integrating RESTful APIs.
- Source Control Management: Deep familiarity with Git workflows, repository management, and code governance models.
- Security Awareness: Understanding of source code security principles, pipeline hardening, secret management, and DevSecOps tooling.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to coordinate with globally distributed, cross-functional teams during complex transitions.

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 USD - $120,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Note: Candidate can reside anywhere in the US.
