The Project Architect is responsible for leading architectural design coordination and delivery for hyperscale data center projects under a Design & Build (D&B) model. The role ensures that architectural design, technical requirements, statutory compliance, and construction execution are aligned to meet project objectives for quality, schedule, cost, and performance.

Working closely with clients, consultants, engineers, and construction teams, the Project Architect will drive design integration and resolve architectural and interdisciplinary issues throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through construction and handover.

## Explore your tasks and responsibilities

- Architectural Design Management Lead and coordinate architectural design development from concept to detailed design, ensuring compliance with client requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Ensure design solutions meet the functional, operational, and scalability requirements of hyperscale data centers.

- Multidisciplinary Design Coordination Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, MEP, civil, fire protection, and other specialist disciplines.
- Identify and resolve design clashes and technical issues to support seamless design integration and constructability.

- Design & Build Project Delivery Work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align design deliverables with project schedules, budgets, and construction milestones.
- Support value engineering, design optimization, and buildability reviews without compromising quality or performance.

- Statutory Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure architectural designs comply with Malaysian building regulations, local authority requirements, fire safety provisions, and relevant industry standards.
- Review drawings, technical submissions, material specifications, and shop drawings to maintain design quality and consistency.

- Construction Support and Stakeholder Management Provide architectural support during construction, including site inspections, technical clarifications, and resolution of site-related design issues.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to facilitate timely approvals, project completion, and handover.

## Show your expertise

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or an equivalent recognized qualification. Professional registration with the Board of Architects Malaysia (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia, LAM) is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of relevant architectural experience, preferably in large-scale industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of architectural design development, multidisciplinary coordination, construction documentation, building regulations, and design quality management.
- Project Delivery: Proven experience in Design & Build or EPC project environments, with the ability to manage design interfaces, resolve technical issues, and support fast-track construction schedules.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other complex technical buildings is highly desirable.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, BIM coordination platforms, and other relevant design tools.
- Core Competencies: Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
