Position Summary

The PM Server/Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service while creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience. This position works primarily evening restaurant shifts while also supporting banquet events on an on-call basis.

The ideal candidate is personable, reliable, knowledgeable about food and beverage service, and comfortable working both behind the bar and on the restaurant floor.

Essential Responsibilities

Bartending

- Prepare and execute all bar setup and opening duties.

- Prepare house-made ingredients, mixers, garnishes, and specialty cocktail components.

- Stock and organize liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies.

- Polish glassware and maintain a clean, organized bar environment.

- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.

- Maintain compliance with all liquor laws, safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service standards.

- Assist with beverage menu development and seasonal cocktail features.

- Support inventory management and beverage cost controls.

Restaurant Service

- Deliver prompt, professional, and friendly service to hotel guests and restaurant patrons.

- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

- Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.

- Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, wine selections, and local recommendations.

- Maintain clean and organized service stations throughout each shift.

- Process guest payments accurately and responsibly.

- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service.

Banquet & Event Support

- Assist with banquet service, receptions, weddings, meetings, and hotel events as needed.

- Set up and break down banquet spaces.

- Support food and beverage service during special events.

- Work collaboratively with culinary, banquet, and hotel operations teams to ensure successful event execution.

Guest Experience

- Create memorable and engaging guest interactions.

- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.

- Promote hotel services, restaurant offerings, and special events.

- Serve as a positive ambassador for Hi-Lo Hotel and Marriott.

Teamwork & Professionalism

- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to hotel grooming standards.

- Support co-workers and contribute to a positive team culture.

- Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and operating procedures.

- Assist in other Food & Beverage duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

- Minimum 21 years of age.

- 3+ years of bartending experience required.

- Previous restaurant serving experience preferred.

- Hotel, upscale restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.

- Experience working high-volume service periods while maintaining service quality.

- Excellent communication and guest service skills.

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move throughout an active shift.

- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
