About this role

About RS Group
RS Group is an Inc. 5000 3PL and logistics company on a fast growth trajectory. We operate as one team, and we recognize and promote people who perform.

The Role
The Warehouse Operations Manager runs warehouse operations across our two Atlanta locations and owns the company’s warehouse priorities: process documentation, quality management, WMS execution, billing and P&L accountability, and the people systems that make RS Group a repeatable, scalable 3PL operation. You’ll lead the team day to day and build the processes, data, and people programs that scale the business. This role reports directly to the CEO and leads 2 direct reports and 12–20 FTE, including temps.

What You’ll Do

- Run day-to-day operations at both sites: receiving, OS&D, shipping, returns, and inventory control
- Own warehouse billing: weekly and monthly invoicing, cost allocation, and P&L accountability
- Manage the WMS and drive handheld scanner-based execution, with no material movement without a system transaction
- Own documented standard work and the Quality Management System (issue tracker, root cause, corrective action)
- Run the daily-to-quarterly operating cadence and make KPI data actionable
- Manage the employee life cycle: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and recognition
- Lead health and safety, continuous improvement, and customer, insurance, and fire marshal audit readiness
- Coordinate warehouse flow with the transportation team

Must-Have

- 7+ years of warehouse or 3PL leadership, ideally across more than one site
- Hands-on WMS experience, including running operations through handheld scanners
- Working knowledge of warehouse pricing models, billing, invoice reconciliation, and P&L
- Experience with process documentation and standard work, and managing people, including recruiting and onboarding
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365; familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts
- Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred

- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field (equivalent experience welcome)
- WMS deployment, migration, or handheld rollout experience
- QMS / ISO / Lean experience
- Experience designing performance management and recognition programs
- Data analytics, customer-facing account management, and AI tools such as Claude or Copilot

Compensation & Benefits
$95,000–$115,000 per year plus a 5–10% performance bonus. 401(k) with generous company match (eligible after 1 year, immediately vested), paid time off, paid sick days, and paid holidays.

Schedule
Full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, with occasional nights and weekends.
