I'm partnering with a well-established, family-owned electrical contractor looking for an experienced Chief Estimator to lead estimating efforts for large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.

We're looking for someone who knows how to build a winning estimate, lead a strong team, and balance competitive pricing with profitability.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead estimating efforts for complex, multimillion-dollar electrical construction projects

- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of electrical estimators

- Oversee bid preparation, takeoffs, pricing, proposals, and estimate reviews

- Evaluate project scope, drawings, specifications, and constructability

- Develop competitive bid strategies while protecting project profitability

- Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities

- Collaborate closely with preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership

- Build relationships with general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors

- Ensure accurate, timely estimates and successful handoffs to operations

What You Bring

- Extensive experience in commercial and industrial electrical estimating

- Proven leadership experience managing electrical estimating teams

- Strong background estimating large-scale, multimillion-dollar electrical projects

- Deep understanding of electrical systems, labor productivity, materials, and construction methods

- Experience with electrical estimating software, preferably Accubid

- Strong financial acumen and ability to develop competitive, profitable bids

- Ability to evaluate risk, manage multiple pursuits, and meet demanding deadlines

- A hands-on leadership style with strong communication and decision-making skills
