About this role
Properly identifies patient, draws blood samples and sends to laboratory for analysis. The Phlebotomist Sr. maintains records of tests performed and blood samples taken, and may perform waived or moderate complex tests in laboratory setting. Also, the Phlebotomist Sr. may assist in the supervision and training of lower level Phlebotomists.
One year in phlebotomy with demonstrated proficiency in all age groups
High School or equivalent
May require Louisiana License as Medical Lab Assistant by LSBME within 6 months of employment if performing waived or moderate complex testing duties
