Software Quality Assurance Trainee

The candidate will participate in the complete software development cycle within an Agile Scrum team taking full responsibility for delivering high quality software and creating value to the organization. The team is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and testing of the features that are in their scope.

The candidate will work in a multi-national/multi-cultural environment, part of a cross-functional development team that delivers software for Network Management Solutions for Nokia optical networks products.

Position: Internship
Duration: 12 months
Start date (tentative): October, 2026
Location: Hybrid in Carnaxide, Portugal
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school

You have:

- MsC degree in Telecommunications, Physics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field;
- Fluent in English, spoken and written;
- ISTQB certification is valuable.
- Knowledge of DWDM/OTN/IP technologies and fundamentals of Fiber Optical Transmission.

It would be nice if you also had:

- SW testing, test automation or technical role in the Telecom industry.
- Outstanding academic background with specific academic work on relevant areas.
- Responsible and accountable, ownership and pride in your work.
- Good communication skills including ability to share knowledge.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
