About this role
The Order Selector works in the Purchasing Department Food & Beverage Grocery Store to assist with shipping and receiving, maintaining grocery/beverage inventory and sanitation of the department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for product integrity, load accuracy, safe transfer, and storage of all products in the department.
- Performs receiving and shipping duties; interacts with truck driver/delivery services.
- Stocks storeroom shelves and fills food and bar requisitions.
- Responsible for all departmental sanitation and organization.
- Ensures product quality and temperature storage standards.
- Able to work independently and as part of the purchasing team.
- Follow inventory control standards of the DAC Purchasing Department.
- Organization and sorting of returnable products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 required.
- High school degree or GED required.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift 50 pounds is required.
- Dependable, hardworking, detail oriented and a team player.
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions is required.
- Must be able to repetitively stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stack, and walk.
- Ability to tolerate temperature-controlled areas.
- Ensure departmental sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills, relate well to others and be able to build and sustain effective work relationships is required.
- Knowledge of basic inventory practices is helpful.
- Able to do minimal desk work is helpful.
- Intermediate computer and spread sheet knowledge are helpful.
