Looking for flexibility without giving up the opportunity to make a difference? Southern Health Partners (SHP) is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide PRN nursing coverage at Tuscaloosa County Jail.
Our greatest need is currently on night shifts , making this a great opportunity for an LPN who prefers working nights. A shift differential is available for eligible shifts! Additional shift coverage may also be needed, so flexibility and availability across different shifts are a plus.
At SHP, you'll provide meaningful patient care in a secure correctional healthcare setting where your nursing skills make a real difference.
🩺 What You'll Do
- Provide nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform assessments, monitor patient conditions, and document care.
- Respond to sick calls and address healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Help ensure a safe, supportive, and professional healthcare environment.
Qualifications
📋 What We're Looking For
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Previous nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
- Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Night shift availability is strongly needed.
- Flexibility to assist with additional shift coverage as facility needs arise.
