✨ What Youll Do
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to the correctional population.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient conditions, assess healthcare needs, and respond to medical concerns.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote continuity of care.
- Help maintain a safe, professional, and respectful healthcare environment.
Qualifications
📋 Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license valid for practice in Virginia.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.
- Dependability and a commitment to delivering quality patient care.
- Availability to support PRN staffing needs across weekday and weekend shifts, including holidays.
🗓️ Make Your Schedule Work for You
PRN coverage needs at Montgomery County Jail can vary, and team members may be asked to cover any of the following shifts based on facility staffing needs:
- Weekend shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Weekday day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shift)
- Weekday evening shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (8-hour shift)
Flexibility across these shift options is important to help keep coverage consistent and care running smoothly. PRN team members are expected to provide at least four available dates each month, maintain reliable coverage for accepted shifts, and assist with holiday coverage as needed.
