We are looking for an Analog ASIC Design Engineer to join our global engineering organization and contribute to the development of advanced integrated circuits for future medical technology.

You will become part of a highly skilled ASIC development team working at the intersection of semiconductor technology and healthcare. Our ASICs are key enabling technologies in our products, and the team works with state-of-the-art methods and tools to solve challenging engineering problems where performance, quality and reliability matter.

The position will be located in Europe and will report to our ASIC development team in Norway. You will collaborate with colleagues and technical experts across locations and disciplines in an international development environment.

We welcome applications from both recent Master’s graduates with a strong interest in analog IC design and experienced analog ASIC designers. The role offers opportunities to grow your technical expertise, take increasing ownership and develop your career within a global technology organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

- Design and develop analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits as part of our ASIC development team.
- Participate in the complete ASIC development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through circuit design, simulation, verification and implementation.
- Perform circuit-level analysis and simulations to evaluate functionality, performance, robustness and design margins.
- Contribute to design reviews and verification activities and support the transition of designs from development to realized silicon.
- Work closely with digital ASIC designers, system engineers, verification engineers and other engineering disciplines to develop solutions optimized at the system level.
- Apply structured engineering methods and industry-standard IC design tools throughout the development process.
- Analyze results from simulations, measurements and experiments and use these results to improve designs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of our ASIC design methodology, tools and development processes.
- Document designs, technical decisions and verification results in accordance with our development and quality processes.
- Collaborate across an international engineering organization and contribute to an open environment for technical discussion, knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Depending on experience, take ownership of larger design activities and provide technical guidance to other engineers.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Microelectronics, Integrated Circuit Design, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Academic or professional background in analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
- Good understanding of fundamental analog circuit concepts and CMOS integrated circuit design.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a geographically distributed engineering team.

Both recent graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. For recent graduates, relevant coursework, thesis work or project experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design is highly relevant. For experienced candidates, we value demonstrated experience developing integrated circuits in an industrial or research environment.

Desired Characteristics

- Experience with analog and/or mixed-signal IC design, simulation and verification.
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and integrated circuit development flows.
- Experience with transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
- Understanding of semiconductor devices, process variation and circuit performance trade-offs.
- Experience with IC layout and awareness of layout-dependent effects is an advantage.
- Experience with scripting, modeling or automation of engineering workflows is an advantage.
- Curiosity and a strong interest in semiconductor technology and analog design.
- A structured and analytical approach to engineering problems.
- Willingness to learn, share knowledge and develop technical expertise.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines, cultures and locations.
- Interest in applying advanced technology to products that can make a meaningful difference in healthcare.
