Director of Retail Operations

Verdes Cannabis is seeking an experienced retail leader to guide the performance of our dispensaries. The Director of Retail Operations will set clear operating standards, develop retail leaders, and improve the customer and employee experience across our locations.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the operational strategy for all Verdes Cannabis retail locations.
- Set consistent expectations for customer service, compliance, staffing, inventory, and daily operations.
- Use retail KPIs, dashboards, and business reviews to identify trends, address risks, and improve results.
- Develop and improve retail processes, SOPs, policies, and operating standards.
- Oversee retail systems and technology, including point-of-sale, inventory, scheduling, and reporting platforms.
- Coach retail leaders, build accountability, and lead improvement initiatives across locations.
- Work with Finance, HR, Operations, Cultivation, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Compliance to support effective retail operations.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in retail operations or multi-unit retail management.
- At least five years managing retail leaders and multi-site retail teams.
- Experience overseeing multi-site retail operations and managing revenue-generating retail functions.
- Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Experience using KPIs and data analytics to improve retail performance.
- Ability to develop and carry out strategic initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and change management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree, such as an MBA.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, and retail analytics platforms.
- Experience leading retail transformation or rapid growth initiatives.

Work Requirements

This role requires travel between company locations as needed and the ability to move throughout office and retail environments for extended periods. It may also require occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds and using standard office equipment, including computers and mobile devices.
