Budget Analyst (Active Secret Clearance Required)

Requirements
- Possess Active SECRET level Security Clearance.
Position Summary: The Budget Analyst develops, monitors and maintains departmental and project budgets, following quality management practices to keep financial data accurate and accountable.
Leads budget development, execution and monitoring across departments, owns financial controls and mentors junior analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of budgets across departments, aligned with organizational objectives
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems for financial accuracy, consistency and integrity
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and forecasting to support decision making
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management on performance, key metrics and budget variance
- Identify financial risks, develop mitigation strategies and maintain strong financial controls
- Mentor junior budget analysts
- Partner with department leaders, project managers and stakeholders to gather data and align budgets with operations
Required Qualifications:
- S. citizenship.
- Maintain an Active SECRET clearance.
- Minimum 7 years of budget or financial analysis experience
- Experience mentoring analysts and briefing senior leadership
- Federal budget formulation and execution experience strongly preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree, or 11 years of equivalent experience
